Volunteer at Our 7th Annual Taste of Ramadan Iftar!

Calling on volunteers to help at CAIR-Chicago’s 7th Annual Taste of Ramadan Iftar & Cook-off next Thursday, July 2nd. WHAT: CAIR-Chicago’s 7th Annual “Taste of Ramadan” Iftar & Cook-off

WHEN: Thursday, July 2, 2013 from 8-10 PM

WHERE: 17 N. State St., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60602

This event has become one of Ramadan’s marquee cultural immersions in Chicago. We’re anticipating 200 guests that will indulge in the rich diversity that shines in our local community and the cuisines where Islam is practiced—virtually every continent throughout the world.

To ensure we can have a more smooth, enjoyable event, we’re calling for our dedicated volunteers to help out in the following areas:

  • Registration
  • Food Check-in
  • Prayer Set-up
  • Servers (most needed)
  • Traffic
  • Clean-up

There will be mostly two shifts with some overlapping timings:

  • 7-9 PM
  • 9-11 PM

Unlike the banquet volunteer opportunities, there’s no guarantee you’ll be given a preference. The event goes quickly but you’ll be sure to also enjoy it as well.

There are a limited number of spots, so confirmations will be made on Tuesday, June 30 with a follow-up email only—please do not call the office since Gerald will be out of town from June 24-29.
