ACTION ALERT: Immigration Rally for Resistance, Unity and Respect

CAIR-Chicago has partnered with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights as well as countless other race-based, interfaith, and organizing organizations across the city to host a mass mobilization of immigrant, refugee, Black, POC, and other oppressed communities & allies on January 14th -- 6 days before inauguration. We will come together to collectively resist the anti-Immigrant policies and agendas of the incoming administration. Mobilizations will be held across the country to build community; celebrate immigrant communities; and vocalize our support for, and solidarity with, Muslim, refugee, and immigrant communities from the anticipated wave of hate and violence across the individual, local, and federal levels.

This event is part of a series national mobilizations organized by members of the national Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM) taking place across the country on January 14th in New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Houston, Charlotte, Philadelphia and over 20 other cities.

The rally will take place on January 14th, 2017 at 10:00am at the Chicago Teachers Union (1901 W Carroll Ave, Chicago, IL).
