Ramadan 14th: Anti-Muslim Prejudice

Unfortunately, the phenomenon of anti-Muslim prejudice is a reality we continue to contend with daily in certain quarters of American life:

Whether in the form of verbal harassment, hate speech, violent attacks, stereotyping, broad brushing, or religious profiling.

Whether at school, the workplace, housing, the market, the airport or in the media.

Whether motivated by a right-wing Christian, Zionist, or Hindutva agenda, or just plain everyday ignorance.

Whether funded by organized networks or occur spontaneously as manifestations of archaic racism and xenophobia.

CAIR-Chicago is here to push back against it ALL - both through defensive AND proactive means:

We provide our communities with FREE legal services to defend themselves when targeted and to ensure that justice is served.

And we work to educate private entities and public audiences to quash myths and misunderstandings of Islam and Muslims.
