Stay Safe Today!: In-Person Voting Tips

The coronavirus pandemic has already impacted our upcoming general elections in unprecedented ways. Aside from the usual questions and information to sort through, the uncertainty of voting safely and making sure each ballot is counted has never been so critical in our modern history. Here are some tips for those voting in-person today:

  1. Wear a Mask!

CDC recommends that people wear masks in public settings, like on public and mass transportation, at events and gatherings, and anywhere they will be around other people. If you’re going to be waiting in line, then you should be wearing a mask.

  2. Follow Social Distancing Rules!

Coronavirus spreads most frequently through droplets from the nose or mouth. The CDC suggests that keeping a 6 foot distance between you and another person greatly decreases the risk of infection. When in line at the polls, or talking to a poll-worker, make sure you’re maintaining social distance.

  3. Bring Hand Sanitizer!

Though touching shared items is discouraged, sometimes it is impossible. Be sure to bring hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to the polls.

Stay safe and get out the vote!
