Event Abstract: Man is elevated above the rest of creation via one major difference: the possession of a critical mind. It is through this gift that man is honored with a unique ability to influence the direction of his life and the world in which he lives. Islam calls upon men and women to acknowledge this gift, use that gift, and use it wisely. As such, Islam stands opposed to mental stagnation, illiteracy, and ignorance and looks highly upon intellectual inquisitiveness, creative solutions to problems that plague our world, and a commitment to uplifting education.
