This Tuesday, January 15, 2008, the Illinois Coalition forImmigrant and Refugee Rights hosted a media workshop intended to empower organizations working on immigration issues.

CAIR-Chicago Staff Attorney Bitta Mostofi attended a status hearing for the citizenship delay class action law suit. As a result of the suit, all of the applications of the named plaintiffs have been expedited.

The charge of discrimination was filed with the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), and a fact finding conference has been set for November.
