Today, CAIR-Chicago welcomed the removal from judicial duties of Cook County Judge William Hooks over his alleged racist remarks about Middle Eastern men during a January meeting and his subsequent improper contact with prosecutors.

 The Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago), a chapter of nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned antisemitic remarks reportedly shouted during a high school soccer game.

Yesterday, a group of Muslim leaders from diverse backgrounds, including CAIR-Chicago staff, met with representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

CAIR-Chicago Executive Director, Ahmed Rehab, said in a statement:
