The Chicago Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations separately identified the targets of the alleged harassment as Medhat Adawy, his son Adam and Mohammed El-Hajjami. EEOC Says Neb. Muslim Workers Faced ‘Unlawful Harassment’

Pregnant Woman Reports Harassment and Denial of Service at Chicago Airport

A Muslim woman, visiting Chicago, was refused service at the baggage check in station at the airport on her way back home to the west coast. After no explanation as to why she was being refused service, the woman demanded to speak to a supervisor at which point she was grabbed by the arm and pushed out of the way by one of the airline’s contracted employees; the woman is eight months pregnant.

CAIR-Chicago Represents Muslim Man in Employment Discrimination Status Hearing

CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Director appeared at a status hearing on behalf of a Muslim man who filed a complaint of discrimination against his employer. The man complained to his employer of harassment by another employee, but the employer did nothing to stop harassment. Shortly after, the Muslim employee was terminated.
