Call Your Cook County Commissioner to Vote NO on AI Surveillance

The Sheriff wants AI video surveillance in Cook County Jail. Briefcam, the proposed system, has a history of misidentifying people and objects, particularly when it is “looking” at Black and Brown people. Meanwhile, the Sheriff is ignoring pressing concerns about health and safety. The Jail experienced a record high number of deaths in 2023, and officers are being investigated for criminal behavior.

We need people-centered solutions, not gadgets that further threaten our safety.
