CAIR-Chicago is encouraging mosque leaders and community organizations to take proactive security measures, including:

ACTIONABLE SAFETY MEASURES:
Check to make sure any security equipment is working.
Create a clear chain of command for decision-making for emergencies and security issues.
Have security officers or volunteers if possible.
Ensure emergency exits are clear and entrances are properly locked or closed.
Develop an emergency contact list to alert locals and local law enforcement
