Civil Rights Director Christina Abraham gave a lecture on the Patriot Act and other national security policies to students at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Abraham discussed how these laws have affected Muslims in America particularly regarding immigration, travel, and relations with law enforcement.

CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Director Christina Abraham will moderate an event featuring Robert D. Grant, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Chicago Field Office. SAC Grant will be discussing the FBI's role in an increasingly interconnected world.

Representatives from CAIR-Chicago will be part of the American Islamic College's Islam 101 series this July-August. Tonight, CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab will discuss contemporary Islamic issues including Muslim-West relations, Islamophobia, Islam in the Media, and the Obama administration's performance in terms of relations to Muslims at home and abroad.

CAIR-Chicago will be taking part in two lectures this weekend at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention. The convention is the largest annual gathering of Muslims in North America; over 30,000 people are expected to attend this year.

A discussion led by Imam al-Deen and Rabbi Larry Edwards, who shared religious guidelines for criminal justice and civil conduct at Noble Tree Coffee & Tea.

On Thursday May 20th, Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson and Communication Coordinator Amina Sharif visited St. Ignatius College Preparatory School to give students a firsthand look into Islam and how it is practiced by Muslims in America.
