North Park University proudly named CAIR-Chicago's Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson, "Man of Excellence" on March 22nd commemorating his years of activism and commitment to outreach service. Hankerson visited with North Park University students to discuss his life of activism and service to the communities across Chicagoland.

CAIR-Chicago's recent event on FBI repression featured Michael Deutsch - litigator at the People's Law Office, Hatem Abudayyeh - Executive Director of Arab American Action Network and leading Palestinian rights activist, and Kevin Vodak CAIR-Chicago's head litigator.

CAIR-Chicago Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson was named "Man of Excellence" by North Park University where he is scheduled to speak on March 22nd.

Jewish and Muslim artists, musicians and community members will explore the crossroads we face in Chicago’s political scene, as well as the crossroads of ethnicities, cultures and religions that make our city great. They will find connections through historical roots and share how that can lead to building a better future.

This presentation is part of a series of events by The University of Chicago Kashmir Society, which is raising awareness of this complex issue and seeking solutions for different aspects of this conflict.

On Monday, February 6th, Communications Coordinators Aymen Abdel Halim and Amina Sharif presented a lecture on Islam and the media for a class at DePaul University in Lincoln Park.

CAIR-Chicago's Executive Director Ahmed Rehab will be speaking at the ICIRR "One Nation, One Dream" Immigrant Integration Summit at Malcolm X College this Saturday. The 2nd annual summit will feature 18 different workshops ranging from issues such as health care and deportations to politics and citizenship.

Executive Director Ahmed Rehab will be speaking at the Islamic Center of Naperville at Ogden on Friday, January 27. He will be discussing Islamophobia, focusing on origins and practical solutions for tackling Islamophobes and anti-Muslim ideologies.

CAIR-Chicago Communications Coordinators Aymen Abdel Halim and Leena Saleh will be giving a joint presentation discussing the role of women in Islam and the effect media has on the perception of Muslims in America. Attending will be students from Carthage College who are studying the role of women in the literature and arts of the contemporary Middle East.
