In Bridgeview and Justice, Illinois, members of the Arab-American community have lived under surveillance for nearly twenty years. Assia Boundaoui grew up there.

Tuesday’s headline from the Chicago Sun-Times, "ISIS in Chicago", was not only sensational but inaccurate and misleading. A more accurate headline would have been: "A Chicagoan in ISIS?" (The added question mark underscoring that it is as of yet an allegation, not a finding).

Our office works with a number of youth, immigration, civil rights and interfaith organizations, and we have also presented on these issues with our partner organizations.
