Maya Kalsi

Law Clerk - Summer 2026

Maya Kalsi is a Civil Rights Law Clerk at CAIR-Chicago this summer. She is a rising second-year student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she serves as Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Maya graduated from Michigan State University in 2023 with a B.A. in Comparative Cultures and Politics, accompanied by minors in Business and Asian Pacific American Studies. Maya moved to Chicago from Detroit, where she was a substitute teacher, paralegal, and esthetician before starting law school. Maya has a passion for social justice and strives to make it accessible to marginalized communities. When she’s not working or studying, you’ll find her walking by Lake Michigan or shopping on Mag Mile.
