CAIR-Chicago Honors ‘World Hijab Day” on February 1st

CAIR Chicago celebrates World Hijab Day!

Around the world, many Muslim women choose to wear the hijab — an intensely personal decision made on one’s own journey toward strengthening their relationship with God. It is a choice rooted in faith, dignity, and autonomy, and one that belongs to no one else.

Today, we honor women who choose to veil for themselves, even as conversations around the hijab remain deeply entangled with history, politics, stigma, misogyny, discrimination, and Islamophobia across the globe.
