Defending the Hijab: Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

Chicago does not tolerate discrimination!

CAIR-Chicago assisted a Muslim woman from Naperville who was being mistreated because of her hijab when trying to take an ID photo.

Advocacy, legal support, and community education are not just services; they are safeguards for dignity, safety, and justice.

A zero-tolerance stance on discrimination sends a clear message: Muslim civil rights matter, and violations should never be ignored or normalized. Work like this helps build a stronger, safer, and more accountable community for everyone.

At a time when discrimination and harassment still affect many Muslims, taking action makes a real difference on civil rights for all.

Our client expressed:

"I truly appreciate everything CAIR-Chicago does. Having a team of people who have your back, empower you with resources and help you feel safe in an unsafe world is invaluable. May Allah reward you all immensely. "

This Ramadan, our goal is to raise $700,000 to sustain our crucial efforts.

With your support, we can perpetuate equality and justice not only during Ramadan but throughout the year. Please consider donating your Zakat/Sadaqa today!
